How to select avatar (user image) and signature

 Go to "My account" (menu to the left under your user name). 
 Click "edit", where you can load your avatar image and signature.

Only forum can show avatar

Should we remove avatar in forum as well? I just leave this to user preference.

I have just set the site that only forum topic and forum comments to show avatar.
Avatar is not shown for any other type of posts. I believe it is not suitable to have people "shouting" their characters with avatar in non-forum posts. It is only suitable for forum or chat room.
